Know Jesus Christ

For John baptized with water,

The first step is in knowing there is
no one who is good enough in the sight of God. The Bible says
in Romans 3:10 "There is no one righteous, not even one."
The second step to salvation is acknowledging
that you are a sinner in need of God's saving grace and mercy.
In Romans 3:23 the Bible says, "All have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God." 
The third step is for you to understand that God loves you
despite your sins. Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his
own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ
died for us."
The fourth step is for you to know salvation is the provision
of God for you through His son Jesus Christ. You are saved
by faith, not by works. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of
sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord." Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace
that you have been saved, through faith – and it is
not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works,
so that no one can boast."
The fifth step is you must repent of your sins. Mark 1:15
"Repent and believe in the Good News!"
The sixth step is to believe in Christ and confess your belief.
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth,
"Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that
God raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED. For it is
with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it
is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
The seventh step is salvation! Romans 10:13 "Every one
who calls on the name of the Lord WILL BE SAVED." Acts
4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is
no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be
saved."
